Explore by train

The pretty Heart of Wales railway is a single-track line between Shrewsbury & Swansea. A single-carriage train slowly winds through mid-Wales & stops at the tiny station at Llangammarch Wells, just a few minutes’ walk from Riverside. Some of our campers come to us by train; others use the train to explore the area. Whether it’s a day out in Shrewsbury, a trip to the lake at Llandrindod, or popping over to Llandeilo for lunch, the little train will get you there! You’ll see viaducts & tunnels, & can step off onto the long-distance walking trail linked by the stations
