escape to the country! Riverside is a family-run, dog-friendly, 4-acre site. rest and relax here, away from the hustle and bustle.

The site is set in a stunning location in the gorgeous scenery of rural mid-Wales, with the pretty River Irfon running alongside. It is a flat and level site with spacious plots and plenty of safe lawns for children to play. Weโ€™re open from Easter/1st April (whichever is earlier) to 31st October.

Take a walk along the river, go paddling or swimming, hire a firepit and toast marshmallows, sit back and enjoy the amazing views (including star-gazing in one of the darkest night sky areas in Europe) - or use this beautiful site as a base for walking, cycling, canoeing, birdwatching, and other outdoor activities.

The modern toilet block has hot showers, a laundry room, and under-cover washing-up areas, all of which are cleaned frequently. A large wooden gazebo with seating and electricity is great for sitting in the shade (or sheltering if it rains!)

The National Cycle Network runs past the site, and there are long distance paths and local footpaths. Pony trekking, alpaca trekking, golf courses, red kite feeding, the Elan Valley and the Brecon Beacons are all an easy drive from Riverside.

The village of Llangammarch Wells is a few minutesโ€™ walk up the drive. It has a Post Office/small shop. Thereโ€™s also a platform on the scenic single-track Heart of Wales Railway Line which takes you north to Llandrindod Wells (with its boating lake), Craven Arms, Church Stretton and Shrewsbury, and south to Swansea on the coast.

A regular bus goes from Llangammarch into Builth Wells (8 miles) where there are lots of independent shops, pubs, cafes, take-aways, an indoor swimming pool, and a supermarket.

Many of our visitors return year after year to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the site.

  • โ€œThoroughly recommend Riverside for a family camping trip.

We loved the site and found lots to do in the local area, including a full day out in Llandrindod just up the tracks. Special mention to the owner James, who couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. We'll be backโ€

  • โ€œWe absolutely loved our stay at this camp site. The host were amazing, couldnโ€™t do enough and very friendly.

The campsite had a proper family feel. The facilities were spotless and regular checks were made throughout the campsite so nothing went a miss. The pod itself was very clean and spacious. The highlight for us was hiring the fire pit at a small cost and had the option to add marshmallows which we did. All in all it was a fantastic stay and will definitely be returning.โ€

  • "There is a really good open space in the middle of the units where children can play together

and a shed full of toys like swing-ball, footballs and other things, the kids loved it.

The wildlife was amazing, we saw hedgehogs, bats, buzzards and sparrowhawks just in 2 days!โ€

Booking in was very friendly and so were the guests. It is laid out for families with a large play area in the centre. There is also a handy covered area for times of bad weather where meals can be taken outdoors undercover.โ€

  • "Very organised and very helpful owners who could not do enough for us.

The location is idyllic and the adjacent river is fantastic for kids and dogs alike. Showers and toilets very clean. Great that site is arranged so the kids can all play together until dark but all in the view of their parents. Would recommend in a heart beat.โ€
