Upcoming local events

The Royal Welsh Showground is just 9 miles from Riverside, so lots of our visitors head for events there. Wonderwool Wales in April and the Smallholding & Countryside Festival in May are popular, as well as the main agricultural show (the biggest in Europe) in July. The Hay Festival of Literature starts in late May, attracting speakers and audiences from all over the world. Riverside is just 45 minutes from Hay so makes a good base for Festival-goers. For something really different, pop down the road to Llanwrtyd Wells for the famous Man vs Horse race in June, and the Bog Triathlon and World Bog Snorkelling Championship in August!
